Does the name Theia ring a bell?

If you haven’t heard of Theia, but you love listening to artists like Lorde and Broods, then you should open Spotify and listen to her singles Roam and Champagne Supernova. STAT.

She’s a seriously talented Kiwi singer but aside from sounding awesome, all three musos share a similar gift; the power to draw in a large audience in a matter of weeks.

The Christchurch singer/songwriter, formally known as Plum, dropped her first single in August 2016 and in little more than three months the single clocked up 3 million plays on Spotify! Insane, right?!

The track went on to become one of the biggest breakout hits by a Kiwi artist that year and helped solidify Theia as an up-and-comer who’s more than ready to make her mark on the music scene.

We’re certain Thiea’s career will continue to grow like crazy, especially because of her infectious personality; this girl is just as addictive and energetic as her music.

Miss FQ‘s resident music guru, Jesse Burt caught up with Theia last week to find out more about the girl behind the music. Check it out in the video above.
