Here’s the lowdown on the industry’s leading employers
If you’ve always dreamed of working in fashion (hai, The Devil Wears Prada), then you’ll want to go into the business with your eyes wide-open. It’s a tough industry, we should know, but if you’ve got what it takes the sky is the limit.
A new annual report released by the fashion industry’s #1 resource Business of Fashion has revealed which companies are the best to work for.
The survey canvased more than 2,600 fashion pros from over 190 companies and based its rankings across three specific categories: rewards and benefits; leadership and development; and working culture and environment.
On the whole, the industry was applauded for its success at “crafting company cultures and working environments”. Employees reported satisfaction rates at 76 per cent, with 91 per cent saying they were part strong collaborative teams. Sounding pretty positive, huh?
The survey noted the leadership and development sector was in need of improvement with 59 per cent of employees saying they were satisfied with opportunities for training and development while only 57 per cent saying they were satisfied with levels of transparency around career progression.
With a surge of employment opportunities within the fashion industry for tech-savvy millenials (dat’s you), employers are looking to hire the best and the brightest. So in saying that, these are the companies who have been dubbed as the best to work for, as they’re “equipped with the imagination and conviction to win the war for top fashion talent.”
