A team of experts are coming together to style this year’s Sylvia Park fashion show, which celebrates its seventh year this year.

We chatted to a hair stylist from Rodney Wayne, who is creating the looks for the show, about what to expect.

What are the hair style trends for this season?
The main hair trends for AW 2014 include slicked back ponytails with a strong parting and bold, yet elegant braiding.

What are the colour trends for AW 2014?
A combination of light mocha tones, cool shades or au natural. Bright rainbow colours are big for the more adventurous.

Where are you drawing inspiration from for hair at the Sylvia Park show?
We’ve drawn inspiration from street style with a huge focus on movement, texture and wearability.

Fashion in the Park is a free public event being held on April 12 at Sylvia Park in Auckland.
