While we love any excuse to dress up, the reality is that we’re working from home and staying inside more than we thought, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, there’s never been a better time to invest in quality activewear, and we’re spoilt for choice with the recent brick and mortar launches in Newmarket of Aje Athletica and Stylerunner. Read on to discover the top activewear trends for 2022, whether you’re lounging in style or looking to get moving.

1. Logomania

Anine Bing Sport 'Blair' bra & 'Blake Biker' short

The ’90s are back, and they’ve brought us logomania! Going beyond the iconic Nike swoosh, many activewear brands have returned to this nostalgic logo trend for their latest collections. Our picks are these matching monogram sets from Aje Athletica and Anine Bing — the perfect attire for walking the dog or grabbing a coffee with friends.

2. Cut me out

From the runways to the treadmill, the cut-out trend is here to stay for 2022. New season pieces cleverly play on geometric shapes, allowing you to show your skin in a subtle way. Pair these chic looks with your favourite bike shorts, or jeans and sneakers for a dressier mood.

3. Tenniscore

Lorna Jane pleated tennis skort

You can thank TikTok for the rise of particular 2022 fashion trends, including “Tenniscore”, a preppy and sporty aesthetic synonymous with pleated mini skirts and tennis dresses. Functional and cute, don’t forget to serve your court-ready look with a visor and crisp white sneakers

4. Bold and bright

Lululemon 'Energy' bra
The Upside 'Bisou Chari' top

This year, neons and pastels are everywhere, and we’re here for their mood-boosting effects! Nothing has us more motivated for a workout than a colourful shade, especially when it comes in a matching set. Turn heads at the gym in your new hue – and pair with workout-enhancing Bala Bangles while you’re at it!
