Angelina Jolie takes style inspiration from the Duchess of Cambridge on the red carpet.

We already know about the ‘Kate Middleton effect’ – every dress, piece of jewellery or pair of shoes the glamorous Duchess wears in public goes on to sell out within hours.

But now she is inspiring Hollywood royalty too. Angelina Jolie clearly took a cue from the Duchess’s pale blue Jenny Packham gown from her recent red carpet appearance at the Spectre premiere. Angie, who usually sticks to black or white and often takes risks with thigh-high slits and tuxedos, selected a modest blue dress with beige heels to attend the By the Sea film premiere in New York. The metallic belt as a finishing touch was spot on, too.

Angelina had her very own prince – Brad Pitt – on hand to accompany her down the red carpet. But in typical Brad fashion, he didn’t want to steal the limelight away from his wife and instead gazed adoringly at Angelina as she conducted interviews. Ahh, we love a good real life fairytale.
