We all know deep down, despite its delicious taste, sugar isn’t great for our health. But how can we be sure we’re not overdoing it?

If you’ve clicked through to read this article, chances are the perception of your own health (or energy levels) probably isn’t poised quite the way you want it to be, right?

With so many fads and research attesting one thing over another, we reside in the age-old saying:  “everything in moderation” to nip our health and wellness anxieties in the bud.  But sometimes, when we overdo it, we’re too far gone to kick the habit.

So what can you do?

Typically if you’re eating a lot of sugar, it also means you’re likely not consuming enough fibre and protein in your diet; important nutrients for sustained long-lasting energy.

If you’re looking to cut back on the sweet stuff, remember that slow and steady wins the race.  Plus,  it’s always beneficial to talk to your healthcare practitioner before making any changes to your diet.
