Shark Beauty is expanding its skincare line-up with the launch of FacialPro Glow, a first-to-market at-home facial device designed to deliver the benefits of multiple professional treatments in one 10-minute routine.
So, what makes it different from the ever-growing line-up of high-tech beauty tools? Rather than focusing on one function, FacialPro Glow brings together elements of microdermabrasion, hydra-facial treatments and hot-and-cold contrast therapy in a single device. Clinically tested and developed with dermatologists, it is designed to exfoliate, clear pores, hydrate and revive the complexion, targeting concerns including congestion, excess oil, dullness, dehydration and puffiness.
The five-step ritual begins with InstaHeat to prep the complexion, followed by a three-minute exfoliating treatment using the Derm Detox AHA+BHA Exfoliating Gel. Next comes the particularly satisfying part: a dual-pump extraction system uses water and precision tips to help lift dirt, oil and dead skin from pores, before the Hydro Infuse BHA Hydrator is introduced to replenish moisture. Finally, the DePuffi attachment switches to InstaChill, bringing a hit of cooling contrast therapy into the mix. Used in slow, upward strokes to mimic the movements of a lymphatic drainage massage, it helps depuff, sculpt and revive the complexion.
There’s some serious skincare thinking behind the accompanying skincare formulas, too. Developed in a Korean lab specifically for the device, the Derm Detox AHA+BHA Exfoliating Gel combines glycolic and salicylic acids, while the Hydro Infuse BHA Hydrator pairs hyaluronic acid with a firming peptide complex.
FQ’s digital producer also put FacialPro Glow to the test at its Sydney launch and reported back with skin that felt refreshed, hydrated and oh-so glossy. So much so, she happily spent the rest of the day wandering around central Sydney without a lick of make-up on. The standout? The DePuffi InstaChill feature.
