Ahh, the classic petty unfollow

It’s not like we have to tell you that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are dating because it’s all over our feeds RN. But some surprising news came in this morning – both parties have unfollowed The Weekend’s ex-girlfriend, Bella Hadid on Instagram.

Talk about passive-aggressive social media behaviour, you guys.

Despite Bella doing it way before them (YGG) – she unfollowed Selena Gomez on January 11th when news broke of their new relationship – it’s taken until now for the singer to do the same back.

However, the muso couple appear to still be checking in with Bella’s sister Gigi, for reasons that we’re guessing are related to Taylor Swift girl squad. I mean fair enough, you obvs can’t upset the girl squad.

The social media moves come less than two weeks after The Weeknd’s not-so-subtle nod to Bella in his new music video for “I Feel It Coming”.

When you see it you’ll…

His lover in it – who isn’t Bella but is an actress that happens to look a lot like her – turns to stone after they kiss, signifying the end of their relationship. Shade thrown? We think so. The resemblance is too much.

Depsite all of this, whether The Weeknd’s actions are deliberate or coincidental, Bella Hadid has been clear about one thing: she’s trying to move on.

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, the supermodel admitted how hard the breakup was for her but that “I’ll always respect [The Weeknd], and I’ll always love him.”

If there’s one thing we can all learn, it’s that it’s always better to rise above the drama. More people should handle break ups like Bella Hadid.
