Could another Legally Blonde movie be on the cards?
Well, yes and if Reese Witherspoon has anything to do with it, Elle Woods could be back, and this time with a vengeance.
Reese let drop on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday she’d be thrilled if another Legally Blonde was given the go-ahead.
James came straight out and asked if the actress, who has just been in New Zealand filming with NBFs Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling, would be keen to bring Elle Woods back to the big screen.
Reese was, of course, totally taken by the idea, excitedly replying: “Yeah! I think it would be kind of cool to see her 15 years later. Like, what’s she doing now? What do you think? I don’t know. But I need a good idea.”
Obviously James is as keen as we are for the movie, and jumped in to offer a few suggestions of his own. “She could be the President of the United States,” he said. “She’d be the first female president.”
Seems like a totally plausible storyline to us – after all, Legally Blond 2e did end with Elle looking up at the White House and winking back at the camera.
Reese offered a few great suggestions of her own: “She could be a Supreme Court Justice, or she could be a really great, powerful attorney – or she could be in prison! She could be anything!”
