The Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base ($110) and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base ($95).

Here’s a dream duo that moisturises, primes, and soothes your skin, and acts as the first step in your make-up routine: the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base.

Nutrient-rich, hydrating, and velvety-soft on the skin, you won’t feel greasy or weighed down, and your make-up will glide on over.

The Fashion Quarterly team put the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base to the test to see the results for themselves. Here’s what they said after two weeks of use.

For me, day-to-day make-up can be a bit of a chore. That said, I’ll rarely leave home without a touch of something to boost my complexion, so the easier and quicker that process is, the better.

When Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base landed on my desk I was intrigued. I’ve always reserved primer for nights out or special occasions where I want my make-up to really “work” for me. I was yet to find an all-in-one moisturiser and primer that addressed my combination skin and provided ample nourishment for my dehydrated cheeks without increasing the shine on my T-zone.

Within days of using the Vitamin Enriched Face Base my red and flaky cheeks were cured. My skin felt nourished and hydrated, and even in texture. My make-up glided on with ease and didn’t catch on any dry areas. In fact, my skin loved the Vitamin Enriched Face Base so much that I started applying it day and night!

While the change of season often gets the better of my cheeks, the delicate skin around my eyes suffers too. Through spring, summer, and autumn, my eyes are taken for a ride with allergies—and come winter, the skin around them becomes dehydrated. I’ve not had much luck with eye creams—many formulations I’ve tried have been too rich and heavy to keep my eye make-up in place during the day.

Thankfully, Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Eye Base provides the right amount of hydration to see my eye make-up through the day. Plus, my eyes and their dark circles are loving the extra morning pampering time.

I added the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base to my daily skincare routine at a crucial point in time—the cold weather had crept in, and the skin around my nose was cracking.

I was instantly captivated by the duo’s delicious notes of grapefruit and geranium—providing a moment of indulgence—and one that I savour each time I use the products.

The textures of the Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base are almost mousse-like—not too light or thick. The formulations provide the perfect amount of nourishment, and my skin absorbs them with ease.

Two weeks in, and my face feels velvety and silky-smooth—the most it’s ever been! Using the Vitamin Enriched Face Base as a moisturiser and primer in one is truly a game-changer and saves me precious time, not to mention the cracked skin around my nose has disappeared for good.

The Vitamin Enriched Eye Base is equally a saviour—my very delicate and tired under-eye skin is adequately hydrated and smooth—and my concealer glides on with ease. I’ve even been applying the Vitamin Enriched Eye Base on my lips for hydration and to prevent cracking.

Here’s to looking at winter in a new and luxurious light—both the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base have taught me that it’s possible to nourish and love my combination skin all year round.

The Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base and recently launched Vitamin Enriched Eye Base have helped me combat my winter skin woes.

Post-pregnancy, my skin changed dramatically and would frequently feel dehydrated. My complexion struggles to in colder climates and breaks out with flaky patches once winter arrives.

These patches are sometimes tamed with a good moisturiser, but appear during the day after my foundation begins to wear out.

After trialling the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, my skin feels plumper, dewier, and of course, hydrated. The smooth and silky texture is pleasant to apply and easily absorbs into the skin. Although I am not a regular user of primer, the multi-tasking formula means that my foundation sticks throughout the day, keeping skin hydrated and preventing those flaky patches from appearing.

The Vitamin Enriched Face Base pairs perfectly with Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base. The lightweight yet ultra-nourishing eye cream has helped smooth the skin around my eyes, and I’ve been using less concealer.

This duo is now part of my go-to skincare routine. My skin’s health, luminosity and hydration have all benefited, and better still— these two skincare must-haves ensure that my make-up stays put all-day long.

Being a fan of the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation, I was excited to try the Vitamin Enriched Face Base and Vitamin Enriched Eye Base.  Their smell and feel are so luxurious and rich on first impressions, and a little bit goes a long way.

I don’t usually wear primer, just sunblock and moisturiser.
Vitamin Enriched Face Base makes it easy to reap the benefits of a primer without having to add an extra step into my morning skincare routine.  Primers I’ve used in the past have weighed down my skin. However, the incredibly lightweight Vitamin Enriched Face Base works with my combination skin to hydrate and nourish.

I also made the most of a pro-tip from celebrity make-up artist Katie Jane Hughes, by rubbing the Vitamin Enriched Face Base together on my hands and applying it to the high points of my face, using what was left on my T-zone. This helped to minimise any excess oil production during the day.

Ultimately, the Vitamin Enriched Face Base has made my foundation stay put for longer, even when wearing a face mask on public transport. It’s also helped to reduce the size of my pores. And the Vitamin Enriched Eye Base has helped the skin under my eyes to appear brighter and smoother.
