Love A…

If the inevitable ending of Marlene King’s hit series Pretty Little Liars cut you into a million and one pieces, don’t worry, it had the same effect on us.

That’s why the release of the new series, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists had us jumping for joy at its proposed release.

Yup, that’s right. From Rosewood to a new town: Beacon Heights, we’re taken back to another mystery (and we’re so ready for it).

Here’s what we know so far:

Unsurprisingly, the show is about a murder…

Now, we weren’t foolish enough to think that we’d be drawn into a PLL spin-off without the show featuring at least one intense crime. Besides, piecing the storyline together from the crippling trailer, Freeform [the TV channel behind the series] has given viewers the low-down on what to expect.

“Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be.

“The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi.”

Two of the original cast will appear on the show…

The cast includes faces we know and love(?) from the original series, namely Alison DiLaurentis (played by Sasha Pieterse) and Mona Vanderwaal (played by Janel Parrish) who are back for round two (or is it technically eight? We can’t keep count). The rest of the cast are newbies that we haven’t seen before on the show but have spotted elsewhere, including Kelly Rutherford who played Lily Van Der Woodsen (aka Serena’s mom) on Gossip Girl.

The premiere is sooner than we thought…

If adding the drama wasn’t already at the top of your to-do list, it will be now with the premiere date just around the corner. Premiering on March 21, 2019, the ten-episode season will be coming express weekly to NEON.

Strap in and get ready for this ride, we know it’ll be full of ups and downs, but only the best kinds are.
