Pippa Middleton has spoken out about the figure-hugging dress that made her one of the most recognisable faces in the world.

In her first ever television interview, Pippa said the attention she received after her sister’s wedding was flattering, but embarrassing.

“It was completely unexpected,” she told NBC’s Today show.

“I think the plan was for it not really to be a significant dress, really just sort of blend in with the train.”

The 30-year-old said the dress, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, was still hanging in her wardrobe at home.

“I haven’t worn it since, but I think I’ll just keep it there.

“I think it’s the sort of thing that I’m sure I’ll bring out if someone wanted to see it or my children one day want to see it. But it’s tucked away.”

Since the wedding, Pippa has written a party planning book and contributed to several publications, including Vanity Fair and The Telegraph.
