Introducing “Greenery”.

Pantone have just announced green will be the new colour of 2017.

According to the world-renown colour company “Greenery” or “15-0343” is the colour we can expect to see everywhere, as of next year.

Interiors, fashion and food will all take their colour inspiration from the yellowy-hued shade, which is made up of a combination of two colours.

As well as design, the colour trend is also clued into the social, political and cultural climate, said Leatrice Eiseman of Pantone, and signals a desire to return and reconnect with nature.

“Emblematic of new beginnings, PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shate that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew,” a statement from Pantone reads.

“Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signal us to take a deep breath and oxygenate, leaving us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.”

Last year’s colours were rose quartz and serenity. Green hasn’t been seen since 2013, when emerald was the colour of the year.
