The trainer you didn’t know you needed
Kanye West has just revealed his newest kicks at Yeezy’s Season 5 runway show this week at New York Fashion Week.
The latest Yeezy sneakers are in collab with Adidas and have been nicknamed the Yeezy Calabasas Runner. Yesterday, they were shown in three colourways: white/teal/orange/black, white/teal, and triple black.

While the shoe is a more of chunky-looking trainer than flatter street-wear sneakers we’ve been seeing for a while now, it makes it’s own kind of Yeezy statement.

A few peeps have outright dissed the sneaker, saying it looks like a bit like an orthopedic shoe, but we don’t expect this will stop the Calabasas from being a top seller. I mean, it’s still Yeezy!
West also created a white/gum colourway and while this colourway doesn’t appear to be part of Yeezy’s fifth season, the rapper-turned-designer was snapped in New York wearing a pair.
The Yeezy NYFW show made headlines this week for a couple of reasons: Halima Aden walked her debut show in a hijab and Kiwi model Georgia Fowler closed the rapper-turned-designer’s elusive show.
