Anno Domini

Hands up if you haven’t even started your Christmas break yet and you’re already pretty depressed at the thought of heading back to work in January?

Thought so. But don’t despair, because the just-announced summer event series ‘Anno Domini’ is coming, and we think it’s going to be the answer to those post-New Year blues.

A brand new venture by Mark Kneebone (the man responsible for bringing us Laneway) and a couple of his coolest friends, Anno Domini is scheduled to take place roughly every second Sunday throughout January and February. Held on the East Terrace of the Auckland City Art Gallery, it’s a take on the rooftop parties of New York and Europe with an impressive roster of international house DJs spread across all four dates. There’s a decent dose of local flavour too, provided in the form of drinks by Mea Culpa, and food by Coco’s Cantina and The Bearded Clam.

Cocktail in one hand and award-winning burger in the other, partying to world-class tunes at the coolest venue ever, we can’t think of a better way to stretch out the summer holiday vibes, can you?

Anno Domini schedule:

AD01 – January 10 – featuring Seven Davis Jr. & Francis Inferno Orchestra
AD02 – January 24 – featuring DāM-FunK & Guests
AD03 – February 14 – featuring Seekae (DJ Set), Roland Tings (DJ Set) & Race Banyon
AD04 – TBA

Tickets on sale through Ticketmaster from Tuesday December 8.
