iCal at the ready?
You’ll be wanting to mark September 12 in your calendar because the iPhone 8 is finally being released. US media were sent an invitation inviting them to an ‘Apple Special Event’ and luckily for us non-invitees – and iPhone obsess-ees – the event will also be livestreamed on the Apple website.
Apple are expected to unveil not just one phone at the event, but three, says The Wall Street Journal. In addition to the iPhone 8 reveal, Apple will also be showcasing upgrades to their iPhone 7 models with an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, which are suspected to include improvements to the battery life and a faster chip.
Judging by our current obsession for all things selfie, Apple’s new iPhone 8 is expected to be much larger (and pricier) with a redesign warranting the iPhone’s 10 year anniversary. Featuring for the first time ever an edge-to-edge display (great for watching videos!), rumours also abound that there will no longer be a home button and there will be a wireless charging feature and 3D face-scanning technology added.
The tech company will also likely be launching updates for their other products including a third generation Apple Watch and a 4K Apple TV.
Whether all the gadget rumours are true or not, it’s safe to say your Insta game is about to get a whole lot better.
