Nailed it

If you’re a beauty obsessive – and let’s face it, who isn’t? You’ll want to make sure Pinterest’s most pinned nail polish makes into your collection STAT.

And what’s most surprising about 2017’s hottest nail colour is it couldn’t be further from the eye-popping brights we’ve been seeing for a while.

According to Pinterest, a muted pink – in particular Essie’s cheekily titled ‘Topless and Barefoot’, $22.99 – is the colour that’s showing up as the shade for the year.

The hue, which is the perfect pink by the way, looks like it would pretty much work with any outfit, and for anyone, regardless of skin tone.

As well as this Essie nail polish shade proving hugely popular, pinky-mauve is definitely having a major moment.

Data from the site shows pins for the polish colour are up 170 per cent, and it doesn’t end there either with the colour also proving popular among pinners as a lipstick or eyeshadow choice.

The colour is also getting plenty of love in the bridal arena as well, with Pinterest laying claim to the soft-hued tone showing up as a trend for bridesmaids dresses and wedding décor too.

You know we’re huge fans of Millennial Pink, so it’ll come as no surprise that this is right up our alley, too.
