Next level zen

Crystals are like coriander, you either love ’em or despise the stuff. But there is something we can all agree on – and that’s the beauty of supermodel Miranda Kerr.

As well as her #goals body and incredible skin, the 34-year-old is well known for embodying all things wellness as she is, after all, the founder of organic beauty empire, KORA Organics. We like to think of her as our millennial answer to Gwyneth… but she’s way less Goop than Gwyneth. So, when Miranda talks crystals, we can’t help but listen – and no, she isn’t advising us to stick a jade egg up our hoohaa, but she is all for keeping them in your bra.

“Rose quartz, […] is my all-time favorite crystal. I really notice the difference when I’m holding it. I keep one in my handbag. I have a small heart-shaped one I put in my bra. It’s known to encourage love (like self-love) in your life and open the heart chakra. It’s supposed to have healing and protecting powers,” she explained in an interview with The Cut recently.

“It’s a tiny little one in the shape of a heart. It’s been buffed a little. One day I was carrying it and then, I thought I really should just put it on my bra on my left side, near my heart. And that felt good.

“I know it sounds crazy. But I feel as human beings, that we either come from love or fear. If we have something like that little reminder, like rose quartz, to always come from love and not from fear, it’s a much more expansive place to come from.”

Miranda’s love for crystals goes way back, beginning during her childhood when he grandfather used to gift them to her grandmother. And not only does she love to keep them close, all of her Kora beauty products are filtered through rose quartz too.

She also revealed some other healthy habits she swears by like hot water with apple cider vinegar in the morning to “flush out your system,” and kundalini yoga to “energize and open the chakras in your body.”

Whether you’re a sceptic or a believer in any of the above, there’s no arguing that whatever Miranda’s doing, it’s working.
