And they look as if they’ve been pulled straight out of the pages of a modern day fairytale.

Just when we thought we’d recovered from all the ooh and ahh moments of the royal wedding, Kensington Palace has released the official royal wedding portraits of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The pictures were captured by photographer Alexi Lumbroski, who was also behind the lens for the couple’s engagement photos.

The first of three photos, taken in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle immediately after the royal couple’s magical carriage procession, shows the lovebirds posing with their bridesmaids and pageboys, while the second adds the bride and groom’s family — the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, best man Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine and Meghan’s proud mother, Doria Ragland.

And as a very important side note…take a look at Prince George’s ear-to-ear grin!

The final photo (and our personal favourite), shows the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex solo as they bask in all their newly-wedded bliss on the East Terrace, Windsor Castle.

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, released the portraits as a special thank you to everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding day.

In a statement, the palace explained: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding on Saturday. They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.”

Adding, “Their Royal Highnesses are delighted with these official portraits taken by Alexi Lubomirski and are happy to be able to share them today. They would also like to say thank you for all of the generous messages of support they have received.”

The official royal wedding pictures were taken by the same photographer who took the couple’s dreamy engagement photos at Frogmore House in Windsor late last year.

Lubomirski has since opened up about the working with the royal couple.

“It has been an incredible honour and privilege to document The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s inspiring journey of love, hope and family; from the engagement photos, all the way through to the official wedding and family portraits on Saturday,” he said.

“This has been a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget.”

Lubomirski has previously shot A-listers like Julia Roberts, Beyoncé, and Keira Knightley.

There was initially speculation that the duo would follow in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate Middleton who enlisted Hugo Burnand for their 2011 nuptials. Prince Charles and wife Camilla also chose the renowned photographer to capture their special day some six years earlier.

On Saturday, May 19th the couple finally said “I do” in front of 600 friends and family packed into the pews of St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle and billions more tuning in from around the world.

Meghan looked nothing short of a princess bride in a show-stopping, bespoke creation by Givenchy which featured long sleeves, a high neck and a dramatic train. Keeping things timeless and chic, her dark brunette locks were swept into a stylish updo.

Upon seeing his bride for the first day, an awe-struck Harry remarked: “You look amazing. I missed you!”

Congratulations again to the happy newlyweds!
