The resemblance is uncanny: with those wide-set eyes, delicate lips and thick dark hair, Rose Kennedy Schlossberg is the spitting image of her late grandmother, former first lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Now Rose, the eldest grandchild of Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Kennedy Onassis and former US President John F. Kennedy, is leaving her political roots behind her and making a name for herself in comedy.

After graduating from Harvard with a degree in English in 2010, and earning a master’s from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2013,  Rose came up with the idea to start a comedic video series called End Times Girls Club.

“It came up as a response to seeing the way that New York responded to Hurricane Sandy, and how people were grossly underprepared — specifically, girls in damsel in distress mode,” Rose told Mashable. “I thought it would be interesting to create this world where girls have to be survivalists without compromising their cute factor.”

The series shows Rose and her friend Mara Nelson-Greenberg playing the roles of Bee and Lara as vloggers teaching viewers how to deal with the apocalypse – from a “fun new way to start a fire after the apocalypse” to making mascara from “ashes and old auto grease”.

While this web series seems far from what you would expect from a member of the Kennedy dynasty, Rose proves that she is coming into her own as an up-and-coming comedian to be reckoned with.
