Beauty destination MECCA has opened a concept store on Wellington’s Lambton Quay – the first of its kind in New Zealand.
The curated space joins MECCA’s existing Cosmetica and Maxima concepts playing house to the world’s most luxurious and coveted beauty brands. The 435 square-metre space in the former Topshop building offers customers and beauty aficionados more than 100 exclusive brands to choose from.
The makeup offering will include MECCA-exclusive brands such as NARS, Hourglass, Chantecaille and Stila alongside Maxima favourites Urban Decay, Too Faced and MECCA MAX. Skincare lovers will be able to explore a dedicated skin area, offering a compelling line-up of brands including Sunday Riley, Drunk Elephant, Tatcha and Kate Somerville, as well as Mecca Maxima favourites Frank Body and Mario Badescu.
Designed by O’Neil Langan, the space includes a dedicated MECCA Perfumeria and Trove areas, plus Fragrance, Skin, Colour, Beauty Lab and Beauty Play Bars with specialists on hand. There are 10 dedicated makeup stations available for appointments alongside skincare consultation chairs.
Following the first MECCA opening in Sydney’s Bondi Junction in November 2017, Wellingtonians will be just the third market in Australasia to experience the latest breakthrough beauty concept. MECCA Wellington will be the ninth in New Zealand’s MECCA store network.
