... And how you can recreate the look at home.

Here at Fashion Quarterly we’re constantly thinking of authenticity, so in our current authenticity issue, we’ve scoured the fashion landscape to bring you stories of new designers, and uncovered models and writers who have boldly embraced their unique identities. With this in mind we set the team of Kiwi creatives shooting our cover shoot in Paris a challenge. No make-up – not a lick of mascara. Cover star Lucy Rosiek rose to the task, agreeing to be shot wearing no make-up at all. In fact, the only thing she had on her face was skincare by Emma Lewisham.

Utilising Emma Lewisham’s completely natural, science-backed skincare products, the look created embraced natural beauty above all else. This was a similar look that the team at Emma Lewisham had used for the Maggie Marilyn show at Australian Fashion Week, and Molly Goddard’s spring summer show at London Fashion week last year.

Skin was prepped by stylist Natalie Cantell, who took on the added responsibility of looking after Lucy’s skin (as well as her wardrobe!) And the result? Gorgeous glowing skin for the shoot, with only ten minutes in the makeup chair. Here’s what we used…

Step 01. Illuminating Oil Cleanser:

Removes make-up and impurities and uniquely leaves the skin feeling conditioned and hydrated. The Oil Cleanser does not strip the skin or leave an oily finish. It does so much more than take away the day – the unique cleansing complex leaves a healthy lipid profile and proven 8-hour antioxidant protection for a boosted start to your skincare regime. Massage 1-2 pumps onto dry skin for 45 seconds to dissolve makeup, pollution and impurities. Add water to create a luxurious, milky fluid. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and a gentle face cloth.

Step 02. Skin Reset Eye Crème

An eye crème where you will notice the difference. This next generation formulation harnesses cutting-edge ingredients to create a bioactive skin system that delivers tailored action for the unique needs of the eye area. Specialised peptides, CoQ10, and phytonutrients deliver synergistic and superior results to dramatically lift, smooth, plump, and brighten.

Emma Lewisham Illuminating Oil Cleanser, $79.
Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Eye Crème, $135.
Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Serum, $152.

Step 03. Skin Reset Serum:

An icon product which has a cult following and a best seller. It is the most effective product on the market for hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone* – it transforms the skin. Innovative stable vitamin C is harnessed for its enhanced immediate brightening benefits, paired with a next generation approach to elongating the formulation’s hydration action on the skin for an unparalleled glow and healthy complexion. Massage 1-1.5 pumps into the face and neck.

Step 04. Supernatural Face Crème Riche:

Opt for this option for a sheer finish. A rich and luxurious powerhouse crème formulation to finish, engineered with 32 active ingredients to deliver a lifted, intensely hydrated, and wrinkle resistant complexion. Massage into your face and neck using an upwards, circular motion to physically stimulate blood flow. Allow a couple of minutes for it to absorb, leaving your skin to feel nourished, plump and hydrated.

Step 05. Illuminating Brighten Your Day Crème:

This is not your standard day crème. It restores the skin’s optimal activity and elevates its condition to leave your skin balanced, strengthened and impossibly luminous finish. A unique radiance complex, including triple Vitamin C delivers the final flourish for skin that is calm, supple, and glowing. Massage 1 pump onto your face and neck using an upwards, circular motion to physically stimulate blood flow.

Emma Lewisham Supernatural Face Crème Riche, $158
Illuminating Brighten Your Day Crème, $130.
