Painting is at the heart of the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2021/22 Haute Couture collection, blending the masculine and the feminine through garments bursting with colour. Take a look at FQ's favourite looks from the show, below.

CHANEL Fall-Winter 2021/22 Haute Couture

At the heart of the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2021/22 Haute Couture collection is the art of painting, with impressionist-inspired dresses, skirts that look like paintings, and sequinned tweed that appears to be made from a multitude of paint strokes. 

Showcasing multicoloured outfits against the soft backdrop of the Palais Galliera—a reputable museum for fashion in Paris—creative director Virginie Viard was inspired by colour in the greyness of winter, explaining, “I really wanted a particularly colourful collection that was very embroidered, something warm.”

From blouses embroidered with mauve and pink sequinned motifs, little red, blue and yellow daisies on a black background, and pale pink and yellow tulle pompoms embellished on a black paletot jacket, here are FQ’s top ten favourite runway looks from the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2021/22 Haute Couture collection:
