Last year, Moochi asked five fashion influencers to each design a bespoke garment, and from there the inaugural Moochi Style Set collection was born. Following on from the success of this 2014 collection, Moochi has now teamed up with an (almost) fresh batch of stylish women to realise Moochi Style Set 2015.
New to the project this year are Bondi-based Kiwi model and fashion personality, Natalie Cantell, and Brisbane-based graphic designer and fashion blogger, Jasmine Dowling, while Paris-based Kiwi expat Jessie Bush, who is known for her blog ‘We the People’, is back again for round two.
Moochi Style Set 2015, which launchds in Moochi stores and online at moochi.com on Friday 28 August, encompasses three distinctive looks, each uniquely representing the modern aesthetic and widely-followed fashion perspective of these iconic style setters. Drawing inspiration from the cities they live in and travel to, each collaborator was left to explore their sartorial creativity with a brief specifying only that the final design represent their ultimate spring garment.
The result is a collection of four beautiful black and white pieces, including a flute-sleeve shirt, a-line dress and a two-piece tabard with flared pant, all created in a soft, polished cotton that brings a modern luxury to spring living.
Moochi Creative Director, Kellie Taylor, says she is honoured to have had the opportunity to work with more of New Zealand and Australia’s most creative and followed fashion influencers to produce this year’s Style Set collection. Says Kellie, “we always design with the question of ‘what do women want?’ in mind – but it’s always a refreshing and exciting process when you physically put the sketch pad in front of influential women and say ‘draw!’”
