While Topshop traditionally embodies British style, the retailer is about to get a Californian injection with the announcement that Kendall and Kylie Jenner will design a collection for the store.

The pair announced the news on their website and via social media this morning, saying their namesake label will be stocked in Topshop stores globally and online.

“Launching for Summer 2015 the collection will comprise a capsule summer wardrobe, characterized by the girls’ LA lifestyle and their contemporary, eclectic design aesthetic,” the statement read.

The sisters’ label has been exclusively stocked with US retailer PacSun in the past.

Kendall and Kylie, who rose to fame after appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss, who has released two collaborations with the British chain.

Topshop’s first New Zealand store opens in March on Auckland’s Queen Street.
