Miss FQ: How old are you?

Krystal: 22

Where are you from?

Titirangi

What’s your dream and why do you want to Make It Happen?

To be an inspirational top Makeup Artist specialising in fashion makeup. It has been my dream ever since I can remember, I have always been obsessed with ANYTHING beauty related. To have an extra boost with Make It Happen is incredible.

What is be your dream job?

It would be designing the make up for really high fashion clients. Being the director that runs the show for a very high end brand, that’s the ultimate job.

Which designers you would like to do that for?

For New Zealand designers I would love to work with Karen Walker. She has very fun, bright themes all the time so that would be really fun makeup to do. My ultimate favourite fashion designer is Alice McCall. So I would love to do [her] fashion runway one day.

How would you describe your style?

Quite girly. I like to wear different things. So unique but girly.

Who is your inspiration in the makeup industry?

Jah. She’s a Kiwi, but she has moved to Australia. She has a massive YouTube channel, which is called ‘Makeup with Jah‘. I just think her makeup is really intense – it’s cool and in fashion. She’s amazing!

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

In the fashion industry. Yeah. I’m just going to work towards it, every little step.

You do a bit of Vlogging and makeup tutorials on YouTube. Do you plan to expand on that?

I will gradually start putting more up, once I have my actual qualification, because I’ll have more time and I won’t have to be working as much.  So I’ll be putting more effort into vlogging and my social media accounts so that I can get a wider audience and that way it will push me and get me more well known in the industry.

If you could go on holiday tomorrow with a plane ticket anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’d be going to South America. I just love how they have so many bright and vibrant cultures. The food and adventures look amazing!
