A brow-to
If you haven’t heard of Mario Dedivanovic, you might recognise him as @makeupbymario. He’s Kim Kardashian West’s makeup artist of choice and is an absolute guru when it comes to the hottest beauty trends.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan.com, he revealed that the Instagram brow is totally over and should be left in 2016. As far as we’re concerned, what Mario says, goes! Unless of course Insta brows are your thang, just keep doin’ you, girl.
If you’re like, ‘WTH is an Instagram brow?’, allow us to explain: An Instagram brow has a super defined arch, and is almost boxy-looking. It fades from ombré at the beginning, to filled in and on fleek at the end. Geddit?
Nikkie Tutorials is the perfect example of a babe with Instagram brows.

“Don’t draw boxy lines; it’s time for something new — your brows can still be strong, but you want them be soft, not harsh-looking,” Mario said.
So, how can you achieve natural-looking feathery arches? Simply follow Mario’s lead:
“It’s all about layering on the products and the amount of pressure you use to apply them, which determines how light or dark your brows come out. I usually start by brushing the brows up or down,” he explained. “Then I lightly fill them in anywhere they need it with a brow pencil — mainly along the outer corners.”
His favourite brow products are by Anastasia Beverly Hills, FYI.
“Next, I define the shape by taking a brow brush and shadow — I use one that’s one shade lighter than the pencil I used beforehand, which softens the look and adds dimension — to set everything. Then, I use a spoolie with hair spray, brow gel, or a glue from Alcone to brush the brow into place.”
So much fun on set today 😍 @kimkardashian #MakeupByMario 💇🏻 @andrewfitzsimons #KimKardashian
