Let’s discuss the elephant in the room…
Khloé Kardashian and Cleveland Cavaliers boyfriend Tristan Thompson are expecting their first child – a baby girl – in the coming weeks and they celebrated in the most Kardashian-Jenner way possible… With one hell of an OTT baby shower that, as much as we don’t want to admit it, was absolute #goals.
Just when you thought Kim’s cherry blossom affair for her third child was at the height of extravagance, Khloé redefines the term ‘more-is-more’.
The room was darkly lit with hundreds of pink flowers falling from the ceiling, pink roses drizzled all over the floor and pink balloons up to hip height for guests to wade through to their place settings. All set against pitch black shimmery walls, neon lights and signs cast an airy glow reflecting off all the pink elements in the room. It was extra, y’all.
And if that wasn’t enough pink to immerse your senses, guests wore blushing shades of the hue as did mum-to-be Khloé, who opted for a silver mini dress with crystal and beaded embroidery in a delicate oriental design underneath a floor-length crepe robe.
The baby shower was a seated meal with the table cascading around the space in a circle with a big void in the centre; and by void we mean a giant pool of more pink balloons.
But let’s not forget the elephant in the room… uh, literally! Perhaps the most surprising and oh so gorgeous detail, was the presence of safari animals cleverly placed throughout the venue. On the place settings were pastel coloured plastic giraffes, elephants, rhinoceros and other game, while set in the corner was a to-scale mother elephant with her calf, both constructed out of dark green blooms and foliage.
We don’t know about you, but that wee motif is of epic proportions. Where can we get one?

It seemed as though most, if not all, family members were present including new mum herself, Kylie Jenner. Also in attendance were Kris Jenner and Mary Jo Campbell (Kris’s mother), and friends Larsa Pippen, Brielle Biermann, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Tracy Nguyen Romulus, Maria Menounos, and Anastasia Soare.
