What is the pastel lash trend?
We’ve seen whimsically long and fluffy lashes on runways in the past, but this year at Prada, models including Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid donned faux creations in anything but black. Recreate the look with eyeshadow and coloured mascara — think romantic pink, ladylike lavender or edgy khaki.
How to recreate the pastel lash trend:
There are several ways to nail this trend, depending on how much time and patience you have up your sleeve. Start by curling the lashes using an eyelash curler and prepping them with a primer (should you have one on hand). Next, select a coloured mascara in your preferred shade and apply the initial coat, layering it as you desire. For a more striking and runway-esque appearance, take a dense packing brush, dip it into an eyeshadow shade similar to your chosen mascara, and apply generously at the lash base. Alternatively, if you would prefer a simpler approach like Prada, consider utilising your trusted eyelash glue and acquiring a pair of pastel falsies in your preferred hue. Simply apply to the lash line using glue and voila! Fun, fluttery lashes in less than a minute.
