Moody lighting, ice-cold Gibson’s and understated elegance set the scene for Harris Tapper’s intimate Spring Summer 2025 launch party held at Melbourne’s/Naarm’s sophisticated Apollo Inn. Hosted in collaboration with Harris Tapper’s exclusive Melbourne stockist, The New Trend, designers Sarah Harris Gould and Lauren Tapper were joined by a group of Antipodean friends of the brand to toast to another season of refined elegance.
“We have always intended to work with like-minded, intelligent and discerning women, the kind who we design for every day,” the duo says of their new partnership with The New Trend. “We instantly felt a harmony between our two worlds and our process of bringing together this partnership has been incredibly aligned.”
The brand’s SS25 collection, released online and at selected stockists today, is a nod to classic shapes and juxtaposing fabric, exploring what it means to build on the fundamentals of a modern woman’s wardrobe. Fringed textures, hand-beaded orchids, and bonded satin evoke 1960s couture, while fluid silk dresses and ruched mesh add contemporary elegance. Signature suiting appears in chartreuse and ivory, and pearls adorn oversized tees, elevating everyday wear with a touch of luxury.
