Launching into the country last month, Guerlain has upgraded their counters in Smith & Caughey’s with a plethora of fragrances – and we couldn’t be more excited.
With 22 fragrances, there is certainly something for even the most discerning nose. At the recent launch which introduced their newest offerings Fashion Quarterly was lucky enough to sample some. Housed in an ultra luxe glass bottle (with their signature bee emblem discreetly branded on the back) the fragrances were spritzed onto an elegant fan and handed around the table. What was so remarkable was how unique the scents were.
When Tobacco Honey (their newest fragrance to be launched globally) was brought out I could pick up the honey notes all the way from the other end of the table. My personal favourites though were the Neroli Outrenoir, a grown up floral, and Spiritueuse Double Vanille which had the aforementioned vanilla accompanied by jasmine, ylang ylang, bezoin and cedar.
Guerlain are no stranger to fine fragrances and have a long lineage dating back to 1828. In 2005 the House became one of the first to offer a collection of exclusive fragrances known as L’Art & La Matière – elevated scents with bottles that are both customisable and refillable.
Going forward, two new fragrances will be launched each year. If these ones are anything to go by, we’ll be lining up to see what they are.
