The guests at the launch party were equally as stylish as the new Gucci Zumi bag.
This week saw the New Zealand launch of Gucci’s latest hit handbag – the elegant and refined Zumi, inspired by a somewhat unlikely muse in LA-based punk musician Zumi Rosow.
Auckland’s Queen Street Gucci flagship store abounded with a stylish crowd, who mingled to the cool DJ beats provided by the Katayanagi twins and a poetry ode to the Zumi, read by New Zealand’s poet laureate, Selina Tusitala Marsh.
The Gucci Zumi is a lesson in refined elegance with its top-handle shape and dressy colour palette, making it not only a stylish choice for 2019, but also a practical addition to your accessories catalogue long-term.
Michele has delved into the archives and resurrected two historical Gucci motifs — the interlocking ‘GG’ and horsebit hardware — to create a contemporary classic in an impressive and rare gold-and-silver colour combination. Find out more about the bag here.
