Glossier opens a pop-up cafe in San Fran and we’re literally fangirling

Hello, lipstick and… fried chicken.

From their Body Hero body-positivity campaign to launching new cosmetic products on the red carpet via uber cool celebrities like Taraji P.Henson, Glossier always manages to nail the promotion of their brand. It’s likely the reason they’ve reached cult status with fans being able to spot a Glossier pink pouch from a mile away.

Now, the makeup brand has reached new heights by taking over San Francisco’s Rhea’s Cafe to provide Glossier customers with the ultimate cafe and cosmetic experience. And when you see the photos you’ll understand why it’s worth planning a trip.

Imagine arriving at the Glossier pop-up’s candy-coloured exterior painted in hues of millennial pink and lilac. If that’s not begging for a cheeky Insta, then wait until you see inside…

The cafe’s new fit-out for Glossier consists of beautiful blooms, candy-coloured decor and encouraging messages like “you look good” emblazoned across mirrors. The brand’s cosmetic products are all cleverly nestled amongst cake stands, mugs and tableware.

While you’re there, enjoy a menu that includes Rhea’s popular buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches while sampling and purchasing Glossier products. And what’s more, each purchase receives packaging exclusive to the pop-up as a sort of memorabilia of the experience.

With a prominent Instagram presence, it’s no wonder Glossier has now launched into experience-based marketing following in the footsteps of brands like Hermès’ Hermèsmatic and Chanel’s Beauty House.

The Glossier pop-up is open to the general public for the next month, so you better get busy booking your San Fran flights STAT.
