She's marched down the runway for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Dior and Prada. We caught up with our cover star Lucy Rosiek prior heading off to the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week.

Lucy Rosiek is no stranger to the glossy pages of fashion magazines. In fact, in a matter of years the Whakatū/Nelson-born model has become the name on the lips of who’s who in the fashion world. Rosiek, who has spent the last few months based in Paris, has marched down the runway of some of the world’s biggest fashion houses including Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Alexandre Vauthier and Victoria Beckham.

A spring sojourn on home soil plus a weekend away on Waiheke with team FQ was a no-brainer for Rosiek, whose recent Instagram diary entries show her love for the great outdoors. Lensed by photographer Guy Coombes, with fashion by Victoria Harvey and beauty by Leisa Welch, Rosiek’s laid-back-yet-luxe spirit was captured at dawn and dusk at a quintessential Kiwi bach in Oneroa — complete with gumboots and a pickup truck.

Rosiek is nothing short of glamorous, despite her humble beginnings. In head-to-toe Prada, Harvey pays homage to the model’s 2021 international debut — an exclusive runway appearance in Prada’s spring summer 2022 show in Milan. At the heart of the ensemble, the luxury fashion house’s inverted pyramid is worn with a sophisticated ease. The story mimics Rosiek’s real-life style, mixing local designers — Zambesi, Stolen Girlfriend’s Club and Rebe — with a luxe twist from the likes of Burberry, Loewe and Alexandre Vaulthier.

While the greenery of New Zealand is quite the departure from the runways of Paris, this is only just the beginning for Rosiek. Keep your eyes peeled for more from FQ’s spring cover girl, and for now find out what the modelling world’s it girl has on her radar.

I’m not much of a reader however, I’m crazy into podcasts, especially ‘Unsolicited Advice.’

It’s a podcast where the listeners write into the podcast about any questions or concerns they have and want advice that covers the details of the situation, how to possibly handle it, and if there may be any underlying problems that may need to be considered. As a person with anxiety, I find it very helpful as it helps me navigate situations or fears that tend to pop up throughout life.

The songs that I’ve currently got on my play list are…

“LALALAY” by SUNMI

“LOVE DIVE” by IVE

“BEAUTIFUL MONSTER” by STAYC

Unintentionally, it’s become a tradition to get fish and chips take-out for dinner whenever I get back from overseas.

I also spend time with my mother agency 62 Management, catching up and celebrating everything I’ve achieved while I’m away.

My favourite place to dine in NZ is Lambrettas in Nelson.

Seriously the best panini sandwiches I’ve ever had.

My favourite place to dine in Paris is Shiso Burger.

Highly recommend the Bulgogi Bao Burger and Kumara fries if you’re ever in the neighbourhood!

My favourite place to shop in Paris is the thrift shops around Chatelet stations.

There’s a big collection of them with some very well-priced and cute, good quality clothes… so I spend most of my time around there whenever I’m in Paris.

About once a year, I treat myself with a “you survived the year gift”.

But this year, I’m saving to hopefully buy a vintage Fendi bag. I’m always online window shopping on the RealReal, looking for good deals on Fendi’s beautiful vintage collection.

The last item of clothing I bought was..

I think it was a cute wee pleated denim skirt from the Save Mart store in Nelson.

The beauty product I can’t live without is my eyebrow brush.

I seriously don’t leave the house without it.
