For your Valentine, Galentine, or anyone in between.

Gestures of romance can vary from couple to couple or singleton to singleton with varying levels of risk. Take roses and a box of chocolates, for example; not entirely original but romantic nonetheless for a humble or new relationship. Then there’s fragrance and lingerie, both intimate and decadent but require extensive research to get right. Of course, there are designer handbags and pieces of jewellery to consider for those with a lot of resource *cough, budget*. But at the end of the day, it comes down to details.

How much one values their relationship doesn’t necessarily equate to how much money is spent. Rather a gift, token or moment that shows you’ve thought about them and their needs and wants is what will serve you well this love season. Whatever you choose, choose well. And if in doubt, get it monogrammed for that personal touch and for those not really into gifts, here are 12 unexpected date ideas.

As for those sans partner out there reading this, you’re pretty great (but, you already knew that) and you deserve to treat yourself (again, no surprises here). Best of all, you have the luxury of getting the gift absolutely spot on…
