“Easy chic” is the common thread in this month’s trending It-bags.

From bamboo and wicker to circle styles, there are some clear stand-outs catching the eye of celebrities, street style stars and general punters right now.

The latest name on our radar and, arguably the most notable, is Staud. Designed by the former fashion director at Reformation, the brand’s aesthetic harnesses vintage features and downtown street art has swiftly become a staple in the hands of taste makers like Alexa Chung and Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine Cohen.

Bamboo and wicker are no longer reserved for the polo with Cult Gaia’s coveted ‘Ark’ bag being reimagined in varying shapes and dimensions. The offbeat-yet-timeless style has been garnering fame on social media for some time. While the ‘Ark’ shape remains iconic, this month we’re gravitating to the ‘Lileth’ to cram in all of our beach essentials.

Meanwhile the structure of the Chloé Faye, BOYY Karl and JW Anderson Pierce styles remain prudent investment pieces, but this year in muted hues of royal green, blues and citrons juxtaposed with metallic hardware.
