Which event comprises horses, hats, beverages and generous quantities of celebrity style? The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles of course. Returning to the Will Rogers Historic Estate this year, the thrilling polo matches and hosting by one of the most prestigious champagne houses in the world, means it’s no surprise that celebrities pulled out all the stops on the style front.
The setting captured the essence of opulence meets Alice in Wonderland with miniature picnic tables, teeny-tiny fruit tarts and small champagne glasses set amongst floral walls and enormous bottles of Veuve Clicquot. Onlookers and guests sipped rosé from peculiarly bulbous glassware – which we’re already on the hunt for, by the way – looking effortlessly chic and ramping up our need for it to be summer already by at least 100 knots.
Key moments from the event included Kate Hudson’s pixie cut debut (no, that’s not a slicked-back ponytail); Lauren Conrad’s return to the red carpet since giving birth to her son in July – carrying a $70 bag from her own line no less; and Nicole Scherzinger looking fiercely beautiful in her monochromatic attire.
