As the awards season nears the end of its course for 2017/18, celebrities and VIP guests have arguably saved their most polished beauty looks for last.
Attendees may have braved the 71st British Academy Film Awards – more widely referred to as the BAFTAs – in less than desirable London temperatures, but their elegant hair paired with striking makeup certainly expelled some heat.
Opting for dewy complexions, bold red lips, generous sweepings of bronzer and dustings of blush, red carpet favourites (and even some less familiar faces) employed the clean, Hollywood bombshell beauty techniques to contrast the dark hues of their black gowns. Echoing the all-black ensembles worn by guests to the Golden Globes in support of the Time’s Up campaign earlier in 2018, this year’s BAFTA Awards seemingly executed it to even more impactful heights. Another excuse to dust off you LBD, ladies. (Like we needed one!)
