Minimalism is ‘so yesterday’.
While singer and actress Hilary Duff hasn’t been quite so regular on our TV screens compared to the days of Lizzie McGuire, the starlet has maintained a presence with her role in TV series Younger, her upcoming movie The Haunting of Sharon Tate, and more recently, by opening the doors to the renovation of her LA home.
The self-confessed Pinterest lover has maximised all aspects of her household decor with no hint of minimalism in sight. It’s eclectic, fun and striking to say the least, with a wide range of patterns and colours at work.
The renovation has been done in good taste, with all aspects cleverly complementing one another. What could have easily become detrimental clashes, are instead elements that contrast starkly against white-washed walls which makes Hilary’s interior style a real winner.
A range of fabrications also feature with velvet, patterned rugs and soft dove grey bedding used throughout. Touches of wood and rose gold metals are interwoven creating a steady theme.
Key decor pieces include a kaleidoscopic butterfly print hanging above a geometric cabinet, and autumnal floral wallpaper in the bedrooms. Not to mention the eye-catching blush front door. Anyone else feeling inspired?
