Let’s face it, cancer sucks, and finding a cure is something most New Zealanders can say they’re pretty passionate about.
This month, Kiwis from all around the country are giving the Big C the big finger by taking part in Junk Free June, the charity fundraiser that donates all profits raised to The Cancer Society of New Zealand.
Last year, 15,000 people took part in Junk Free June and raised $356,000 for The Cancer Society and 2016 is already looking like it’s set to be bigger and better. If you’re keen to join in the fun and sacrifice your own form of junk food in the name of cancer, it’s not too late to sign up.
You’ll be participating alongside some of New Zealand’s most admired celebrities across sport, nutrition, TV, film, fashion and radio, including Rachel Hunter, Taika Waititi, Art Green, Matilda Rice, Nadia Lim and Antonia Prebble, to name a few. (Scroll through our gallery above to see more!)
Plus, when the going gets tough (having to Netflix sans snacks is pretty tough you know…) remember that the more more money you raise for charity, the more prizes you can unlock for yourself from brands like Huffer, Les Mills, Ecoya, Miss Crabb, I Love Ugly, Smashbox and more.
Or if you’re simply keen to lend your support, you can donate any amount you like online and help keep your mates motivated to stay on track.
