Flamingo Pier

Place to be this weekend: Flamingo Pier, Rangihoua Estate

22 January 2016

This weekend, Waiheke’s Rangihoua Estate will once again play host to Flamingo Pier, the party that has set London alight for several summers, with a pop-up food festival, good tunes and even better vibes.

Sit back and relax with a frozen cocktail in hand (procured from Flamingo’s famous Boat Bar) or park up in one of the tree-hung hammocks and chill with a Crate beer, Man ‘O War wine or a sweet cocktail concoction by the guys from Bedford Soda & Liquor.

Food-wise, there’s plenty of options: American-style BBQ c/o Miss Moonshine’s, fresh Waiheke Oysters at the Te Matuku Oyster bar. Or, if you’ve really got an appetite, perhaps devour a Tropic Thunder burger, Bearded Clam’s new creation made especially for Flamingo Pier’s punters – 100% beef patty, BBQ sauce, iceberg, American cheese, bacon, grilled pineapple, pink onions and green chilli mayo on a demi-brioche bun. We’re just sayin’…

You’ll want to keep your energy levels high as the dancing will continue well into the night, both at the Sunset Stage and a second dance floor located in the forest (just follow the lights!)

Ian Pooley, Weird Together Soundsystem, North Shore Pony Club, Chaos in the CBD, Frank Booker, Tim Richards and Flamingo Pier’s own DJs will all be on hand to keep the party going, one beat at a time.
