Pat McGrath gold makeup

Pat McGrath makes over random people at PFW

1 October 2015

Would you go for gold? If makeup legend Pat McGrath says it will be so, then chances are, it will be.

McGrath, who is considered one of the top makeup artists in the world, officially launched her new gold dust product “Gold 001” at Paris Fashion Week by hosting an impromptu makeover takeover in the Jardin de Tuileries. Within minutes of the announcement being posted on her Instagram account, models, bloggers, editors, Kris Jenner and your everyday Parisians were flocking to the gardens to be given the golden touch by McGrath and her team of 35 assistants. Lips, eyes and cheekbones were transformed into the same McGrath-designed looks seen at the Prada show in Milan last week.

Bella Hadid, Stella Maxwell, Lily Donaldson, Eva Chen, Vogue’s Lynn Yaeger and Kris Jenner were some of the McGrath fans who received a swoosh of the 24-karat pigment. Fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier was on hand to document everything. You can track the events as they happened on Instagram #PatTakesParis and #Gold001.

Back home, Andrea Moore knew that a metallic brow was worth its weight in gold, showcasing gilded eyebrows and hairlines at her New Zealand Fashion Week AW16 show in August.
