Some would say that it’s a model’s job to be a blank canvas and let the clothes shine, but we can’t see any of these faces fading into the background at NZFW. Want to know who will be New Zealand’s next top models? Here are FQ’s top ten picks…

1/10
Bianca Henry, Red Eleven: It’s only Bianca’s second NZFW (she debuted last year at Stolen Girlfriends Club), and she’s already garnered huge international interest. It’s set to be a standout year for Bianca.

2/10
Abby Hendershot, Clyne: NZ has fallen in love with sweet Abby from Kentucky! Abby walked in every Marr Factory show this month, and she has an even more jammed-pack NZFW schedule.

3/10
Fred Scahill, 62 Models: Fred’s cool energy, incredible cheekbones and international experience have made him a hot favourite for many local designers who have snapped him up for their NZFW shows this year.

4/10
Tessa White-Parsons, Unique Models: Tessa is the self-effacing quiet achiever that gets out and kills it on the catwalk. Signed with IMG models, she’s a chameleon whose look can be transformed for every show, and her understated confidence translates wonderfully on the runway.

5/10
Sophia Frankish, 62 Models: Sophia’s incredible facial structure and strong runway attitude has proved popular with the NZFW designers as she has been confirmed for several shows this year.

6/10
Daria Maxon, Red Eleven: Scouted in Wellington, Daria is walking for several top designers at this year’s NZFW. It’s her NZFW debut and there is a lot of hype around her.

7/10
Amy Watt, Unique Models: Amy is a Chinese/Euro beauty from Rotorua. As well as being a dream on the runway she’s a hard-core tramper, rower, sailor and skiier – the more dangerous the sport, the more she loves it.

8/10
David Holwerda, Red Eleven: It’s round two at NZFW for this super cool, small town boy. All the big name designers love him, including Zambesi, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Workshop & Helen Cherry.

9/10
Coco Readon, 62 Models: Coco’s walk has plenty of attitude and her ability to pull off the edgy, androgynous look has made her a very popular choice for designers this year.

10/10
Talea Tatupu, Clyne: Since signing with Clyne last year, Talea has already garnered major interest from overseas clients and top international agencies. Being a Kiwi model of Maori/Samoan descent makes her a unique beauty in this industry and we’re expecting big things.
