Karen Walker showed her new SS16 collection ‘Star City’ this morning at New York Fashion Week.
Described as folk-meets-utility-meets-glam, the collection is inspired by life in a secret astronaut training base just north of Moscow and fuses together the idea of traditional Russian ‘folksiness’ with cutting-edge space technology.
Walker also showcased her new ‘Poolside’ eyewear collection on the runway and key attendees, including Man Repeller Leandra Medine and Instagram star Josh Otrovsky aka The Fat Jewish (whose dog, Toast, is the face of Walker’s previous eyewear campaign) have both been spotted in the designs this week.
