It’s the perfect getaway for a busy young family.
Just three months after giving birth to her second child, Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman has snapped up a sleek contemporary home in the secluded hills of Montecito, just outside of Santa Barbara in California.
Designed by renowned American architect Barton Myers, the Modernist-style residence is constructed from concrete, glass and steel.
The house is essentially a series of pavilions that best take advantage of the Pacific Ocean views and allow for seamless indoor/outdoor flow.
Situated on 10.4 acres and surrounded by established gardens, it is an ideal getaway for the busy actress, whose main residence is in the centre of Los Angeles.
Four bedrooms and five bathrooms means there is also plenty of room for her growing brood.
Portman and her husband, French dancer and choreographer, Benjamin Millepied, were no doubt happy to shelve out $8.7 million ($6.5 million USD), to enjoy many happy memories here with their 5-year-old son Aleph and newborn daughter Amalia.
