All the looks from Chanel’s Fall 2017 Paris Fashion Week show

9 March 2017

Chanel’s intergalatic planetary show was incredible.

When it comes to creating spectacular fashion events, Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld can absolutely be relied on to take it to the next level, literally.

For Chanel’s Fall 2017 show at Paris, intergalactic travel was the theme, with the iconic fashion house recreating the Grand Palais as a space station, complete with a life-sized rocket, which lifted off at the show’s close.

The collection itself drew inspiration from an imagined future. Spacesuit printed dresses, textured tweeds, metallics and more were sent down the runway, all accesorised with patent-tipped glittering knee-high boots.

As much as Lagerfeld is looking forward, he’s also taking a look back with hair and makeup drawing heavily from the 1968 space romp Barbarella staring Jane Fonda.

Modelling trifecta, and Chanel favourites, Gigi, Bella and Kendall were seen striding the catwalk, each looking distinctively different, for the space-themed spectacular.

Famous faces seated on the prestigious front-row included Chanel ambassadors Pharrell Williams, Cara Delevingne and Lily-Rose Depp.

Closing in his inimitable way, Karl Lagerfeld took a bow with Hudson Kroenig, debuting the new Chanel bag, the Gabriella.
