To celebrate the 90th birthday of Mickey Mouse, Karen Walker has launched a collection of clothing, jewellery and accessories just in time for Christmas.
Teased in August 2018 by WWD, the collab has otherwise been one of the iconic New Zealander designer’s best keep secrets. Fast forward 3 months and the rumoured collection has come into fruition.
With custom filigree patterns in pastel hues befitting of the Disney figures and t-shirts emblazoned with Mickey and Minnie in a Runaway Girl silhouette, the collection is where two pop culture obsessions collide and likely to be atop of everyone’s wishlists this festive season (if it lasts that long on shelves, that is).

Alongside the custom tote bags, purses, garments, backpacks, keychains and sunglasses is a series of necklaces featuring the Mickey Runaway either stamped or outlined in silver, gold and rose gold options.
Fans of Karen Walker homeware will also be pleased with the prospect of Mickey & Minnie mugs and plates made of fine bone china featuring gold and polka dots starting at $40 apiece. Desk envy, anyone?
