After a much hyped build-up, the day has finally arrived and the Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, is marrying her millionaire groom, financier James Matthews, in a country wedding in the small Berkshire village of Englefield.

The biggest questions look to have been answered already: Which designer would Pippa turn to for her wedding day? (UK designer Giles Deacon.) Who would design the Duchess’ own look? (Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.) And would Meghan Markle arrive on the arm of Prince Harry? (No.)

Pippa arrived at St Mark’s Church shortly after 11.15am UK time, wearing the stunning lace Giles Deacon-designed gown, teamed with a veil by renowned royal milliner Stephen Jones, a Maidenhair Fern tiara by Robinson Pelham, and Manolo Blahnik ivory satin pumps with pearl detailing.

Guests arriving at the church included Princes William and Harry, James’ younger brother Spencer Matthews – a TV star on reality show Made in Chelsea, Princess Eugenie with her boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, and tennis champion Roger Federer with his wife, Mirka.

Although not officially a bridesmaid, the Duchess was seen arriving at the church with the young flower girls and page boys (including her own children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte) and fussing over Pippa’s dress as she prepared to walk down the aisle.
