Dog lovers rejoice – you can now wear your enthusiasm on your sleeve.

Over the past year Gucci has been successfully dominating the fashion industry. From opening a fine dining restaurant to the ‘GG’ logo reaching cult status, 2017 was an epic year for the brand.

And now it’s embracing 2018 by launching a capsule collection that celebrates the Chinese New Year.

Beginning February 16, the Chinese New Year will herald the Year of the Dog, which serves as direct inspiration for Gucci’s latest range.

Both sentimental and sweet, the ready-to-wear collection consists of a range of pieces including sweaters, tote bags, sneakers and jewellery. Emblazoned throughout is an illustration of creative director Alessandro Michele’s boston terriers by Helen Downie AKA The Unskilled Worker.  The collection’s dreamy campaign features a variety of dog breeds – enough to make sure they’ll melt anyone’s heart.

With the dog considered a lucky animal in Chinese culture, we’re hoping the latest Gucci collection brings us good fortune as well as good fashion.

Prices start from $270 NZD with the collection available on the Gucci website.
