As we begrudgingly head back into the office after our summer break, one thing we are looking forward to, is seeing what 2020 will bring on the sartorial front – and the 77th annual Golden Globes red carpet is the perfect place to start.
The last few years have seen awards season anchored by politically-charged campaigns – and the Golden Globes have been no different; you might recall guests in 2018 opting for black garments to symbolically participate in the Times Up movement.
No doubt the messages of gender and pay equity will still be present, both on the red carpet and in acceptance speeches, but a red carpet that has already been heaving with jewel tones, block colours, statement sleeves and interesting necklines means we have plenty of couture to take in this year.
